‘Teh Tarik King’ pulls a good show
KUALA LUMPUR: “Teh Tarik King” Fakir Jamal absolutely loved the chance to perform his specialty of “pulling” tea for Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
He said the royal couple seemed impressed with his show.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had stopped by his booth outside the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre hall where the British Malaysia Chamber of Commerce luncheon was held yesterday afternoon.
Skillful: Fakir performing for the royal couple.
Meanwhile, Handicraft Malaysia designer Roziah Md Yusof was thrilled that she got to showcase her batik dress at the fashion show held at KLCC Park during the royal cultural walkabout.
“I designed the dress especially for Catherine. I researched her style and dressing and finally came up with something that I think she would really like,” she said, referring to the knee-length high collar batik shirt dress in vivid blues and greens.
