‘Poisoned’ woman accused of breeding ghost
A SINGLE mother, who claimed that she had not eaten for the last 25 years after being a victim of santau (deadly potion), is now being accused of breeding a ghost. Puri Yusof, 54, has claimed that she had only been consuming milk and plain water for survival. “I feel pain if I swallow food,” she told Kosmo!
Her weight has plummetted from 65kg to 45kg. Puri said that she was unfazed about accusations that she was keeping a ghost, saying that she believed people were jealous of her skills as a practitioner of traditional medicine. According to Puri, a doctor who treated her 25 years ago in Kuala Terengganu, confirmed that she had no ailment which prevented her from swallowing any food.
She also said that she sought a second opinion from another doctor in Penang for a thorough check of her mouth, neck and stomach. She was informed that her windpipe was contracting and that an operation was required but she would risk losing her voice. Puri said she did not want to lose her voice because it would prevent her from reading the Quran and running her business.
