AN ELDERLY woman who had allegedly been terrorising her neighbours and creating havoc in her apartment block in Singapore for years has been arrested over an attack on a woman last Friday.
She was detained by police after she allegedly injured a 34-year-old woman by scratching and pushing her, reported Sin Chew Daily. According to those who stayed at the apartment block, the woman was a like a “neighbour from hell”.
They said the woman has been disturbing the peace in the apartment for years by sometimes splashing urine along the corridor. At other times, they said, she would curse and beat up people for no apparent reason.
The woman who stayed alone in one of the units would also turn off the power supply at her neighbours unit and knock on their doors in the middle of the night.
In the incident last Friday, the victim said the woman had switched off the power supply to her apartment unit. “When I get out of my apartment, the woman suddenly pushed me and I almost fell,” she said adding that the woman then started to scratch her forcing her to call the police.
The woman who was very aggressive had to be pushed to the ground before policemen could handcuff her. Another neighbour identified as Tan said the woman had also damaged almost all the flowers planted along the apartment corridor.
