Here we go again - another party time!

why is there a need to form another opp political party when he's so supportive of chee? another dissented partyless who want to act as indian chief?

Bryan Ti Benny, apparently WWM and Bentley were quite close to SDP. WWM even spoke at SDP's pre-election rally.

And now it seems that even they can't either agree to SDP's platform or there are some personality issues that they have to resort to form...ing yet another party.

Will we need more than two hands to count the number of Opposition parties soon?

a case of support in the front but screwing behind the curtain? wong was also one of the "partyless" who was very supportive of SDP and yet remained a non member. why?

everyone wants the limelight on himself than being drowned off or diluted if remaining in SDP? so now what's the real objective? self glorification or indeed a passion to help fellow sgporeans to better lives?

unity is not the main issue in opp mentality. personal motive looks more likely than it. if the paps were to fragment itself up, wow lau eh!! there would be even more confusion.

i guess political wannabes are just too proud to set aside their personal differences and be more focus in the defeating the main foe. or is it that their passion and sincerity is semmingly missing?

I'm quite disillusioned and furious at the party jumping and forming of new parties.

I'll vote WP as 1st choice if they contest my ward. If others, I'll vote PAP.

My aim is to make them lose deposits so as to teach them the lesson of ego, and pay the price of thinking that they're leaders when in fact they're scums.

If they are with CSJ, coming up with another party will dilute SDP votes, which is good news for PAP and bad news for SDP. Unless they are targeting at a constituency where there is no other opposition party contesting. I think they are trying to win over 2 groups of voters..

1. Ex-supporters of CSJ or SDP.
2. A new group of younger voters wanting to give opposition a shot after being fed up with ruling party. They are hoping for some other fresh opposition party that has no negative records for ruling party to whack. (This can be a big group, but nobody knows what is the size.)

This GE can be interesting. I think people are getting tired of the political climate here. Maybe its time to borrow Obama's campaign slogan - "Change we can believe in" :biggrin:

whether it's bullshit or not, 2 partyless and pantyless have already formed new opp parties. now there is another. all were linked with SDP and yet they are not SDP members.

wong wee nam last represented NSP for the last GE if i m not wrong. instead staying faithfully with the party, party-hoppers are now the trend of the opposition. when they have no where to hop to, they form their own parties and the 3 new parties that are now formed have links with SDP.

obviously, when they form new parties, they are expected to stand for GE. when they do, won't they compete with other more brand-named opp parties like WP, SPP or even NSP?

Singapore is uniquely Singppre in having more opposition secretary-generals and chairmen then there actually opposition MPs in Parliament.

beside chiam and low thia khiang, many of those so-called sec-general hide some skeleton in their private closet. if we know it, the pap would know even better.

I am sure there are more. Perhaps up to 15. They are there to make up the numbers. No activities whatsoever.

Some are 'orchestrated' parties. Can Ang Mo countries accuse our govt of controlling everything under the sun when there is complete freedom to form political parties?

nothing wrong with many political parties, part of democratic expansion.

United States has numerous political parties, only 2 parties win seats in Congress and Senate. It's the same for most countries.

Well, I am not someone who is dishonorably discharged from service who will definitely have lots of skeletons in their closets. Nope. I only have my own skeleton in my body which I carry around wherever I go. There is no need for me to hide my skeleton anywhere. :wink:
