Most people associated with Singapore football know the stripes of Winston and are never surprised what has been going on. His dealings with vendors, marketing agents etc are clearly out there.

We now know why football clubs sit out but still function as football clubs. What most people do not know is that the leadership of both contesting parties are dripped in blood.

What surpised me is that people honestly thought that Zainuddin ran FAS and not Winston Lee.

Everybody out there these days, "are doing it..for the good of _____ ( fill in the blanks)"....& the resounding apology will be " so sorry, it should not have happened"..."Z" is another of the establishment, doing his "JOB"...we should not be shock or awe foe what is happening....at the end of the day..."Z" will be ship out quietly & had just made " a honest mistake"...

What is not new?

For the big European Leagues, broadcast rights ahve become the major source of income for the clubs, so much so that relegation from the English Premier league constitutes a loss of hundreds of millions for Aston Villa, Norwich City and Newcastle United. Sponsorships take on a myriad of roles. There are the main club sponsors, whose logo appear on the club’s jerseys and training gear, match sponsors, sponsors of individual players and backroom staff, including the manager/head coach. In some countries, the players look like advertising boards for the number of sponsors on their shirts. Clubs also use their catering facilities at their stadiums as banqueting halls. Grounds also have executive boxes for corporate hospitality. Match day catering and alcohol sales also add to the coffers. In actuality, ticket sales are the lowest percentage of income for clubs although many supporters feel ticket prices are too high, especially for the visiting team supporters. Some clubs, such as Manchester City in England, Paris St Germain in France and Barcelona in Spain, have massive foreign investment. Manchester United of England were bought by the American Glazer family, who also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL. The sold debentures on the club to finance their purchase which angered many supporters. Chelsea are owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. On the other end of the spectrum would be teams like AFC Bournemouth, which has the smalest stadium in the Premier league and Crystal Palace, only six years removed from administration (bankruptcy) and nearly being liquidated until four wealthy but not extravagantly rich Palace supporters formed the CPFC 2010 consortium and bought both the club and Selhurst Park. Recently, the consortium were able to secure massive investment from two Americans, David Blitzer and Josh Harris. Their priority is to improve the infrastructure of the club, meaning Selhurst Park and a new state of the art training ground as well as improving the playing squad.

Police and CaD acted swiftly yesterday 20 Apr 2017.

Curious to know who was that person who report the matter to the police.

They live from grants from Singapore Pools and donations from corporate. It has negligile income generating assets or capability. Thats the reason why no one objected to a PAP MPs running the show. Same with other sports organisations.

The reason why there is an election is due a complaint and FIFA steeping in.

Your point is?...

Is that why, you get marketing savvy people who join, find out creative means to make money, within the law, like 'fruit machines' & the PAP MP will feign ignorance of what the "hell is going on'? or "going wrong'?

right?...

Nobody bothered contesting because the funds are controlled by Singapore Pools owned by the Govt. When FIFA embarrassed the FAS, no choice but to look decent by having proper elections. Funding will now be controlled SportsSG. This however unexpectedly opened a can of worms where a a full blown gambling enterprise has been going on for years with kickbacks given to FAS officials to fund their FIFA and AFC council seat campaigns.

Its obvious that people are struggling to connect the dots as shown by your query. By the way, what is not known is that both Zainuddin and Winston have consulted lawyers. Zainuddin failed in his attempt to get a seat but Winston has held a seat in AFC for some years. Also interesting is that FAS council members have been kept in the dark all these years.

As jackpot machines are licensed by the govt, it is interesting to see how 29 machines ended up in one location. Jackpot machines have been authorised in social and sports clubs for decades to fund social and sports activities in mebership clubs. Clearly the abuse is immense in this case. Did it go to football?

At a much higher level and more importantly, it shows that GCT's pack with AMP on the nomination of Malay PAPs is fundamentally flawed as it created a dud and a completely lost individual. The fact that this idiot went for meeting and was the only who voted wrongly while the rest of the Asian members voted in the opposite direction show that he is clueless about football.

When Ganesan ran FAS he had a eminent and well respected chartered accountant to oversee Finance. And he did it for free.

As we speak, FIFA has been contacted by the authorities to stop the elections quietly until the matter is addressed. Expect an annoucement soon. Looks like the idiots who did the probity check had no idea what they were doing.

TODAY: This comes following a police report that Sport Singapore (SportSG) lodged against TBFC, which is run by businessman Bill Ng, for suspected misuse of funds, as well as for an attempt by a senior club officer to obstruct the completion of audits into the S.League sit-out clubs. TODAY understands the senior officer refers to Ng.
TODAY found that Tiong Bahru also paid around S$960,000 in total rent in 2016 to the unit’s landlord, Polygon Ventures, which is listed on the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (Acra) as a company dealing in general wholesale trade. That works out to be about $80,000 per month.
The listed owner of Polygon Ventures is Bonnie Wong Yuk Ying, who TODAY understands shares the same residential address as Ng.
With the clubhouse measuring 2,583sqf, it means that the rental amounts to S$31 per square foot.
In contrast, a check showed that other basement units in People’s Park Centre are charging between S$2.92 and S$11.23 per square feet in rent. The only unit charging S$31.50 per square feet in rent is located at street level, and measures only 200sqf.

Its very obvious which side Today and the rest are on - but Billy has/had(?) people like Krishna Ramachandra , also managing Tampines Rovers* and is a local lawyer, Managing Director of the US lawfirm in JV with his m-i-l's firm (the same firm you mentioned with the British Asian lawyer acting as Head of a department after getting her masters locally) and who happens to be the s-i-l of very respected JC, GP Selvam) backing him and vying for a role on the FAS committee (despite denying rumours a year before) so either all these others were genuinely clueless about Billy's true stripes or this is really quite the spectacle now i.e. no due diligence on your team-mates? * https://www.facebook.com/TampinesRoversFC/posts/986102491474563

“(The leadership’s) responsibility (does) not only revolve around raising funds through jackpot machines,” said Lim in the video that also asked if there was a “hidden agenda” behind Ng’s candidacy.

Ng’s spokesman declined to address those statements directly, but in a Facebook post, Krishna called the video interview "tasteless".

"We all (volunteers) put in hours behind the scenes to make things work and certainly to do our best. I know for a fact that (Lim) has put in countless hours...so I am really disappointed with the nature of this personal attack on Bill," said Krishna, calling for an immediate apology.

"Battle must be done in a dignified manner. Please, I urge everyone involved in the upcoming elections...respect your fellow Singaporean, respect the volunteers who have stepped forward to be counted and conduct proceedings with respect."

Added the spokesman: “We wish to stress that the only reason we have come forward is because we are committed to taking Singapore football forward, and we believe in the vision that our team members have shared so passionately.

“This is the focus of our campaign – the plans and policies we want to put in place to bring back Singapore's football glory and to bring joy to the hearts of our
Our plans are taking shape very well with inputs from people who really care and we are heartened by the spontaneous support from many quarters in the last few weeks", he said.

So after the spectacular no expenses spared reception in April at Fullerton to unveil the radical overhaul they were proposing (http://tampinesroversfc.com/the-game-changers/) , how is this going to play out now as Billy's team did include people such as Krishna who are not exactly non-establishment but his moves at Tampines did raise eyebrows (prime example being Jermaine Pennant coming onboard with his allegedly outsized salary and lifestyle in comparison to everyone else http://www.tnp.sg/sports/singapore-football/krishnas-own-goal-tampines).

I believe in Malay the unfolding of the events can be described as very "busuk".

Very apt. More importantly why is CPIB not handling this case. The penny will now drop for Col Jimmy Lim Chin on why he ended up with a half a million dollar salary from an organisation that depends on grants and donation.

One thing I can guarantee - winston lee will again walk free.
