after stalling for about a year since may 2015 after its six years meteoric rise,2 major crashes it finally broke the 2100 ceiling.....amazing.

its such sights that restores my faith in capitalism.may the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

no one invest in S&P 500 or celebrate the fact US market finally broke all time high after long wait since 2014?i remember it was 2014 when SNP finally reached 2000 and it was a fucking long time before it broke 2100 for good.2 fucking years time has really flew by.

i choose to believe that equity market is over priced, there is high possibility that it may crash.

yellen the rest of FED must be shocked their manipulated of statistics is causing all this. now brexit is passed behind, there is no hold bare for interest rate to rise. today will be the day.

please raise the interest rate to prove your QE is working.

brexit impact is just beginning to show, more headwinds ahead. i doubt US fed can stand on their own without consideration of others.

i believed that for years and years especially last two years when market started stalling but for some reason doomsday never came, now i dunno what to believe any more.no point believing anything....just buy and hold,if market crash average down and buy even more.

there r now more and newer cracks... economy of egypt, peru, nigeria are falling apart, italian bank confirm tanking, hopes for fracking is gone with over supply and demand falling below supply. gold is not falling against rising share prices.

we need a systematic chain effect.

but the US stock market stalling for the last two years means it has deleveraged a little,so it is not as bubblish as it could have been, just like the sg property market has released steam a little,p/e ratio has decreased somewhat, time to catch up for lost time, snp should be at 2400 by now.

When will sgx break 4000 points? I would like to triple my portfolio.

Interesting morning, a big symmetrical triangle (obvious in retrospect), which broke down at bar ending 1127 with a false break out before that at bar ending 1109, inside is a smaller descending triangle with a false break down at bearing ending 1048 which was followed by a broke out in the other direction. Whole morning kalang babok but still made money, could be a lot more if don't have to key in orders manually and by the time it is sent out, the price in my brain is no longer in syn with the price of the market though it was only a few seconds ago. Apple, Google or whatever should invent a machine that can read my mind and accept a signal (like tapping of finger or something) to confirm the decision.

Just in case it doesn't show it on your computer/device as I intended it, link is supposed to be a 3 minute candlestick chart of HSIF1 (Hang Them Futures - Spot Month), you can play around with the controls on that website to get there ......

Study so much for fuck, not useful at all, except to earn the initial capital ........... just reading the bid/ask pyramid alone without charts and sensing the pressure already can make money though not as much as with the context provided by live charts ............

The second incident is especially satisfying though made less Latinium than the first.

There was a third profitable trade but I have to check the market now and decide if I want to trade in the afternoon. Yesterday, I lost almost all that I had made in the morning through trading in the afternoon when tired. Today MUST NOT be a repeat.

Over and out ..............

Lots of “trapped bulls” towards the close

Coolly updating pivots table

B6 @ 773 @ 1629

Try something different, carry over half of position to after-hours session on basis that more trapped bulls will panic and I can profit from their distress, let’s see if the theory works

Profit = HKD 16,450 on 6 contracts, still 6 contracts outstanding

Net results = about HKD 145,000 (including HKD 14,400 from 1053 to 1121 hours not included in earlier post) with another HKD 16,450 of paper profits at play (not looking good @ 1741 but nothing ventured nothing gained)

may i know which series of star trek is this?

Deep Space Nine, 16th episode of the 3rd season entitled the "Prophet Motive".

B6 @ 21804 @ 1854 hrs = 23.83 X 50 X 6 = HKD 7,150 profit reduced from HKD 16,450 if simply sold out at close.

Waste my time only. I bet the Hang Them futures will go down more after I've covered, but hell a hungry man is an angry man. At least I did not become a trapped bull at 1818 hours as happened in the past, though this is the first time I am trading after-hours but the same principles should apply but the pace is fucking slow.

Okay, HKD 152K for the day on capital employed of about HKD 840K max (12 contracts X roughly HKD 70K margin each) equals 18% for one day.

Now, I recall this Canadian Hongkie from JP Morgan who told me that last week and first week of month is always volatile because of contract expiry. That's good, I have clearly marked times to switch on. Other times are for LIVING.

Just bought some microsoft, mcdonalds and twtr....

Excellent, the Hang Them Index rose to 21,920 in after hours trade after I covered all my remaining shorts @ 21804.

I feel so good :)

Believe it or not, many years ago when I used to be a very active trader, my personal best was a 300% (yes, three hundred percent) profit of S$60K on capital of about S$20K in less than two weeks (nine consecutive trading days, to be more precise), trading the EUR/USD futures! :*:

But on hindsight, even though I put in a lot of mental effort, I think I was just lucky. :o

Anyway, I stopped trading over five years ago because I reached the conclusion that trading is bad for my psychological health. :(

Luck certainly has a part to play in trading as in all other aspects of life. However, skill and experience has a much larger part, especially in enabling one to react necessarily and fast enough or not react unnecessarily if immediately after initialing a trade it goes against you. My first few trades in the Hantu index futures were all losers. The money wasn't much since I decided to start with one lot of the mini. Will always remember the morning when I saw the Hantu approach confluence of weekly and daily pivot points at a time of the morning that I had observed reversals occur quite often. Clicked the mouse to short one mini contract and within eight minutes was out with an 80 point profit. The money was totally insignificant (HKD 800) but the knowledge that I possibly have what it takes was previous. Then I moved from trigger shy to trigger happy with predictable consequences. Subsequently, I discovered that I can scalp on the long side while waiting for the ideal time to short. Hang Them is much better than Hantu for scalping. Otherwise, I'll just get bored, go make coffee, and return to find that the ideal time to short has past. The scalping profits will act as a buffer making me less unwilling to take less than perfect but still profitable swing trades. Also, my fade short trades in a bull trend must have different targets from my short trades in a bear trend. Blah, blah, blah the list goes on. Plenty more to learn and unlearn

Trading for me at this stage of my life is more like going to horse races for fun. It is really true what they say about being able to make more money when you don't need to make any money - less psychology pressure. The pressure for me comes from the fact that I hate to lose money. There is little pressure now since I think in terms of the trading day rather than a particular trade. I often start the day with a trade that makes a small loss to end the day several trades later with a decent profit.

As for yesterday's first trade - the one with HKD 55,000 profit, other technical factors (including time of morning) led me to initial the trade, however after 8 contracts I looked at the 3 day 5 minute charts of HSI Property (HSP) sub-index and the HSI Finance (HSF) sub-index and it suddenly hit me that HSF has been down trending most of that time and HSP was consolidating after an uptrend. Then I saw a bear candle pattern on HSP and thought sharks if both HSP and HSF are trending down, then HSI will have lost whatever was propping it up. About to look for an ideal place to short more and that was exactly the time when the HSI broke down. Too late. Reference for next time.

I've become much better at making and changing snap decisions and less patient with other people who make what I know to be foolish decisions.
