AN ACCIDENT involving an SBS Transit bus and a tour bus at the junction of Arab Street and Victoria Street on Sunday morning has resulted in seven people being hospitalised.
Three women and four men were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for lacerations and abrasions on the head, body, arms and legs. With the exception of the driver of the tour bus, the rest of the victims are passengers onboard the SBS bus.
The total number of passengers in both buses is not known.
A spokesperson from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told AsiaOne that no one was trapped in the vehicles.
He also said that three ambulances and a fire engine were deployed to the scene of the accident which occurred around 7am. Both buses were severely damaged.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
