Should cyclists be banned?

Are cyclists the vermin of society? These fucking buggers don't pay any taxes or fees and rides as if they own the roads and pavements, while buzzing those irritating bells.

Pavements are for pedestrians, they should stick to one fucking side on the road. But then they will start to irritate drivers too.

The papers need to start publishing reports of how cyclists gets banged by cars and died.

The situation is worsened by the influx of foreign trash - the PRC Chinese and the India Indians. Worst vermin of the lot. Uncouth bastards!

when the fucking cyclist cycle on the road, they expects vehicle to stop as they pass minor road. They cant even be bother to check back for incoming traffic as they cycle pass minor road junction

You should try to horn those cyclists whenever you have a chance. Irritate the fuck out of those buggers. Fucking garbages! They are a danger on the roads. Have you seen the way they ride on roads these days? Hope they got load up on their insurance premiums, cos payback is a bitch if a driver snap!

in most 1st world countries, bicycle lanes are put in place to prevent unnecessary road kills, as well as to protect pedestrians too.

it is 3rd world countries that allow bicycles everywhere; roads, pavements, parks etc.

so, can we boldly claim that this island city is 1st world yet?

There are 2 types of cyclists on the road. One is those who cycle to work to save cost, like foreign and local workers since transport cost in SG is so high. I usually give ways to them at cross-road junction.

The other type is those who can afford expensive bikes to show off, or for whatever reasons, save the earth, save their health etc. many of these are ang mohs. I honk at them if they don't give way to me at road junction. Unlike motorised vehicles, cyclists don't have right of way, am I right?

The cyclists should just bang them down. no need to be soft on them. It is the govt who is too incompetent to build anything for the cyclists. Blame your pathetic govt.

Not all cyclists cycle dangerously, but many of them are dangerous cyclists.

1)Cycle against flow of traffic
2)Cycle without regards of traffic lights
3)Cycle on an entire lane as if the road belongs to them
4)Cycle on pavements endangering pedestrians at times.

So far Tampines is the only town I seen have cyclists track besides pedestrian walkway. They have not extended this scheme outside beyond Tampines yet.

Some cyclists just cycle across the zebra crossing without waiting for vehicles to stop (like pedestrians do) or check if there are pedestrians at the other side of the road.

That stupid MP that started this cycle on pavement scheme should be made to stand on the pavement and be run over by cyclists again and again.

Cycling is the future transport for environmental conservations, European countries have cycling path designed for cyclists, riding a bicycle doesnt mean you belong to developing country like China hor :biggrin:

I bicycled in China before. It was fun. In China, all are bicycle roads and pathways. There're special lanes designated for motorised vehicles. :biggrin:
