24 hours to cool off before Polling Day
PORT OF SPAIN (TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO): Singaporeans will get an extra 'cooling-off' day at the next General Election, a 24-hour period during which campaigning will not be allowed so that voters can reflect calmly on their decision. In announcing the change, which will also apply to the presidential election, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the idea had been on the table for many years.

cooling off period is to let people to stop discussing about the last min attempt by PAP to win back the oppositions votes..

if more people discuss in the last min, they will realized that they will be screwed again later eventually...

Clown Prince, when you truly serve your country and your people, you don't have to wast time on such meaningless thoughts, because the people will put you back in power.

Only when you cheat, deceive and lie to the people to stay in power then you will piss in your pants every election and try even harder to come up shittier policies to stay on power.

Eventually, you will still be kick out, so why bother?

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Even campaigning is getting restricted. Election is just a game of numbers. If the number is yours, it's yours. 24hrs will not change anything if voters' life remains miserable. Why dont he tell the spanish to have their polling day in winter where there'll be snow to reflect.:p
