The Galaxy Note could be releases sooner than many think

Samsung will be looking to continue its 2017 success story with the launch of the rebooted Galaxy Note 8.

The Korean tech giant’s Galaxy S8 has already been received well with plenty of five star reviews and a new Note could help boost its smartphone sales further.

Last year saw a disaster for Samsung’s popular phablet after battery issues caused a number of Note 7 devices to explode.

But it seems Samsung is putting this behind them and is all set to return the Note series to fans across the globe.

And, if this latest leak is to be believed, the Note 8 could be here sooner than you think.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

According to sources speaking to Galaxy Club, the new Note 8 is being tested with Android 7.1.1 which probably means Samsung is planning to release the device without Google’s new Android O installed.

Android O looks set to be released on Google's own-brand devices in September which suggests Samsung will release the Note 7 earlier than this date.

The IFA technology show also takes place from September 1 and Samsung has often revealed new products in the run up to this event which could mean a late August release date for the Note 8.

Sadly, it appears that, once again, Samsung may push out a new device without the latest Android operating system.

This is because it’s unlikely for Samsung to run Android Nougat on the Galaxy Note 8 during testing and then launch it with Android O.

Last year the firm released its Galaxy S7 with Android Marshmallow but fans of the device had to wait over six months before it finally received Android Nougat.
Samsung Galaxy S8 tested for breakability with worrying results

Not much is known about the Note 8 although rumours have suggested it may fix one of the Galaxy S8’s biggest issues.

It’s believed that the new Note 8 could feature a fingerprint scanner embedded under the display.

It’s thought that Samsung wanted to include this on their S8 flagship but ran out of time perfecting the technology.

It's also possible that Samsung will continue to develop its Iris and facial recognition making perform with more accuracy than the current S8.

Alongside the embedded fingerprint scanner the Note 8 is also expected to include a dual-lens camera, giant 6.4-inch QHD+ Infinity display, 128GB of memory and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging.

Like all Note devices it's also likely to include an S Pen which allows users to draw and sketch on the display.
