Colin Ting Fook Mun, a primary school form teacher made a nine-year-old-student unzip his pants so he could see the boy's underwear.
Ting, 41 years old, had also made the boy unzip Ting's pants and made the boy look at his underwear on at least seven occasions.
The offences took place between March 2014 and January 2015. They only came to light after the boy confided in his aunt last April.
Last January, Ting wore a new pair of underwear to school on six occasions and made the boy stay back in the classroom.
When they were alone, the perverted teacher made the boy unzip his pants, and he exposed his underwear to the boy. Ting told the boy to not tell anyone about the incidents. The boy complied, out of fear.
Last April, the boy's aunt jested, telling the boy to beware of perverted teachers in school. To her astonishment, the boy replied "Only one, not a lot."
Yesterday, Deputy Public Prosecutor James Chew said the boy said in his victim impact statement that he now lives in fear of teachers unzipping his pants.
DPP Chew added that the offences occured in school where pupils are supposed to be a in a safe environment.
Ting was sentenced to jail for a year for three charges, under the Children and Young Persons Act, of committing an indecent act with a child. Another five charges were taken into consideration for sentencing.
