A video https://www.facebook.com/772893202759121/videos/vb.772893202759121/1093055384076233/?type=2&theater showing two young women apparently acting as loanshark runners and giggling as they ran off was posted online on Monday (June 20).

In the video, posted by a group called Singapore Anti LoanSharks on its Facebook page, two young women can be seen standing outside a flat.

One of them acts as a lookout, while the other proceeds to secure a chain and lock to the gate. She then splashes red paint all over the door.

The young woman even appears to be giggling as she runs off, followed by the other alleged accomplice.

In the latter half of the video clip, a police officer can be seen trying to break the padlock.

The video has been viewed more than 146,000 times since it was posted.

Some Facebook users expressed surprise that young women were now apparently acting as loanshark runners.

"Used to be male runner, now this become woman's job (sic)," commented Facebook user Lee SiewKuan.

The incident allegedly happened on Sunday (June 19) at about 3.15pm, according to the Facebook post by Singapore Anti LoanSharks, an online community that encourages users to report loanshark harassment activities to them.

Shin Min Daily News reported that the case happened at Block 143, Toa Payoh Lorong 2.

The police have received a report over the case and investigations are under way, according to Shin Min Daily News.
