Cross-dressing robber holds up McDonald's in Australia
Police are yet to confirm whether it was the result of a failed drag deal

Rather than put a stocking over his head like so many thieves of yesteryear, one dress-loving male in Australia decided to slip some fishnets on his slender legs whilst robbing a McDonald's.
Australian police have now unveiled surreal CCTV of the moment a cross-dressing robber help up a fast food restaurant in Melbourne on Sunday morning, threatening to blow the place up.
The man was wearing a blonde wig, pink shawl, fishnet stockings and high heels when he walked into a branch of McDonald's in Laverton North at around 7:45am on February 8.
It is alleged that he approached the counter and demanded cash from the clerk while holding what he claimed was a detonator in a paper cup. The blonde bombshell was certainly living up to her name.
The man then fled the scene, although the cross-dressing crook dropped some of the stash on the way out.
"When there's talk of an explosive device it does make people even more uneasy. In this case we have no evidence to show that there was an explosive device at the scene but obviously we're going to be investigating that thoroughly and once we find this male, charges will be pending in relation to that," said Victoria police Detective Senior Constable Lloyd Felber.
Felber said that the man had obviously chosen his clothes carefully and made sure they fit his trim physique. Underneath the dress, the man is described as a balding Caucasian, 183m tall with a thin build and a chiselled jaw.
It's not known whether the man was forced into attempted thief after a failed drag deal.
