the seals' account claims that someone took a peek and bobbed his head out at the door on the 3rd floor. it was at that moment that the 2nd seal behind the point noticed the head going back in, and he pulled the trigger. the rationale for shooting the door and bobbing head is that the target may reach back for a weapon. sure enough, as they moved into the room on the 3rd floor, they saw a weapon on the side of the wall next to the door and two women wailing over a body. the target had been shot on the side of the head. it continued to twitch and move. the seals shoved the women aside and shot the target again at point blank. rationale given was that target might have concealed explosives and/or weapons and could blow all up or return fire. after checking the body, target did not have concealed explosives or weapons. the only weapon target had was by the door, unused.
