Even though I'm no fan of Ravi's amusingly eccentric behaviour, I sincerely wants him to win this lawsuit..

But can he really wins it against these Pappy local lackeys? The odds are stacked against him..

Very rare for someone with an anti establishment background to win a lawsuit against the Royal FamiLee's loyal servants in our Kangaroo Court..

Frankly this lawsuit is a mere minor thorn. The Govt will always amend the laws very quickly. Its water down a duck's back. KJ knows that and he is not interested in the law but it the publicity that behind this. When Teo Soh Lung's counsel found a technicality in regard to her detention, the court released her and they re-arrested her immediately when she left Whitley gates. They then amended the law. They treated it as a fresh decision.

KJ after releasing the medical letter without comment has wihdrawn after it went viral and sitting very quiet. Most people cannot figure out what is going on.

Ravi has become the circus clown and the ringmaster is KJ. He is obviously aiming it at the PAP but manipulating Ravi.

If you are Ravi's family would you allow his medical records to be released even if he gave consent. You would not do that.

KJ has never revealed anything about his wife and wife, where he resides yet has the temerity to release a vulnerable chap's medical record which puts him a poor light. For heaven's sake, we are dealing with a person with a known medical record. His consent would be impaired if there a emotions involved and this is highly emotional.

Whatever the circumstances or the agenda behind this, I truly respect this guy's balls. Hat's off to him.

According to a ST report on July 17th, SC Michael Hwang the ex-President of LSS, sitting in a tribunal in Dubai over a case involving Dubai's state-owned property firm, alledgedly dozed off during the hearings. The tribunal chairman Sir Anthony Evans said the six minutes when Mr Hwang was "inattentive" to the evidence being heard was "most regrettable", said court transcripts of the hearing application for the re-trial last week in Dubai.

The defendant's request to have a re-trial was thrown out by the tribunal.

Interesting to watch the outcome...

The Law Society watch-dog and the Medical Council watch-dog.

Life is getting more and more exciting as uncle grows older and older. Singapore still rocks man!

From the information from ST (and left out in TOC/ TRE), it seems the good doc was required to provide his assessment to the law society. This was under a previous agreement between the patient, doc and the law soc. If this is true, then there is no breach of confidentiality and no case against the doc. In fact, the doc would get into trouble if he had not done what was agreed upon.

This is completely different from a doc who provides this confidential information on his own initiative, which does not seem to be the case here.

SINGAPORE: A Tamil current affairs producer at MediaCorp has filed a police report against lawyer M Ravi for verbally abusing her during an interview with him.

Ms Vicneswary d/o Subramaniam alleged that this happened on 13 July.

In response to queries from the media, MediaCorp said on Friday that the incident happened at Mr Ravi’s office.

It said Mr Ravi had agreed to Ms Vicneswary’s request to interview him on the government’s review of the mandatory death penalty.

However, at the start of the TV recording, he became extremely agitated and aggressive and shouted at her, using vulgarities.

He then left the room.

Ms Vicneswary felt threatened and filed a police report.

"M. Ravi called a press conference yesterday to defend his comments over a criminal case, but ended up smashing a glass, spewing vulgarities and yelling at journalists to leave his office.' - ST, Oct 2010

The agreement between law soc, patient and doc that doc must report any assessment of relapse is key. If KJ knew about it, and still released the confidential report etc, then he's wrong. Similarly, TOC.
