Ex-President Nathan to deliver 1st Singapore Mediation Lecture

Former president S R Nathan will deliver the first Singapore Mediation Lecture in a new boost to Singapore's growing role in cross-border mediation for cases from abroad.
Mr Nathan's lecture will be part of a public lecture series over a three-year period on international commercial mediation
Heavyweight law firm Harry Elias Partnership inked a deal on Monday with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and the Singapore Management Centre to sponsor the series.
Mr Nathan's vast background experience, diplomatic skills and insights are expected to lend stature to the series and comes at a time when the Singapore Mediation Centre has seen a spike in companies here and abroad opting for mediation to settle disputes.
