These highly paid management also no press statements?

Finance Minister MAS head altogether can act blur is it?

Waiting for what? Santa? 财神?

ATM skimming is not a big issue. It occurs on a daily basis around the world.

To expect the Finance Minister and MAS to issue statements about an everyday occurrence is absolutely ridiculous.

You need to get a life.

Not when hard-earned money from SGP Kiasus entrusted in the MIW's hands vanished in thin air!:biggrin:

But it hasn't. All banks compensate skimming victims because if they didn't, the public would lose faith in the whole ATM system which would be a disaster for the industry as a whole.

The banking network is like the internet. It has no respect of international borders.

No matter how much you paid those Mini-Stars, they would not be able to stop bank fraud as the whole system is linked worldwide.

Interesting article, something the local press would not print because they are busy reporting about some old man & his family making some speech criticising Sporeans:(

The part that caught my attention is:

Outdated banking technology has made Australia and New Zealand prime targets for international ATM skimming gangs, police say.

"The offenders are telling us that they are targeting Australia specifically because of the level of technology we have," says Detective Superintendent Colin Dyson, commander of the New South Wales fraud squad.

Has DBS been using profits to reward their elite staff:confused: Rather than investing in new technologies:confused: Isn't it the same problem with SMRT:eek:

You tell me. I can't believe that DBS/POSB cards are any less safe than ATM cards of the other banks that operate in Singapore.

Chances are their ATMs were targeted simply because the high traffic meant more cards to skim per hour compared to other banks.
