LTA solution.

Install ERP for pedestrian. Implement COE for new babies. This will solve the problem.

PAP is only good at copy and imitate other country ideas like the Casinos, other than that they are just hopless.

They are just hopless of what to do with Hillview Ave Est voters after winning back the election from Oppo Ling How Dong and only know to do 1 thing - bully and bull dozed the whole estate and dispersed the voters.

A political party without soul and compassion for the voters after winning the election back from oppo must be condenmed and bull dozed down in next GE 2016. What is the point of a poticial party coming to a ward to seek to be elected and when the votes were given to them they betrayed you. This is a potical party seeking election and with a mandate promise to improve the life style of the ward if elected but instead demolished the whole ward and disperesed the voters.

Will this same political party which in 2011GE won back Potong Pasir ward from Oppo Chiam See Tong demolish Potong Pasir ward too?

Next thing to do is to remove the prox-PM in the next GE who is good at wayang and waiting to copy new ideas from overseas.

Wow so crowded now. That pedestrian crossing is always packed, but now its just insane. I finally understood why they say Singapore is overcrowded.

You should snap the video from the opposite angle to show the other pedestrian crossing which is only about 20-25 meters away or the bridge that connects Bugis to Illuma. Old habits die hard I guess.

About 100M map showed. Actually I walked there that day because I did not want to get crushed by crowd there in the crossing. They are stuck unable to move anyway.

There is nothing wrong with the pedestrian crossing. It has served the pedestrians at Bugis well for many years.

The problem is that there are too many people in Sinkieland, due to the PAP's horrid plan of artificially inflating the GDP by importing massive amount of foreigners to boost the population number.

It is like having the flu. You may have fever (depressed wages and increased competition for jobs), vomiting (crowded public transport), diarrhea (crowded roads), muscle aches (increase in petty crimes), runny nose (inadequate carpark lots), sore throat (property bubble) etc... but all these are merely SYMPTOMS. The culprit is the flu virus (overpopulation from fucked up PAP policies).

They had made the width (of crossing) on the road big but the center divider is a narrow space, causing the congestion.

The REAL solution is to provide an underpass from MRT to the Bugis village, and that should had been part of the project of the current constructing new Bugis interchange (new MRT line) but LTA don't seems to have such plan.

A temp make-shift solution for the time being is to change the crossing timing to be synchronous on both sides and dismantle the green steel rails in the center - the same scheme as China Town Eu Tong Sen crossings. It may cause traffic for vehicles a bit less ideal but SAFETY is more important.

They need to acquire some space from Bugis village to make an exit for underpass, Bus Stop may have to be moved closer a bit to Illuma or to Illuma itself.

The whole scheme as it is = SUCKS big time!

The width of the congested center road divider is at most 2m-3m and the pedestrian crossing is some 8m or so. This is totally out of proportion, causing a BOTTLE-NECK and concession - making it unsafe and chaotic over there. The problem had been there for years. LTA turned fucking blind eye. They are just murdering Singaporeans with that moronic traffic scheme.:*::oIo:

I invite Liu Tuck Yew to cross this crossing personally during CNY peak period. He should cross few times and tell LTA his experience as a pedestrian. :p:rolleyes::wink:
