    All about cars in Malaysia

I met with a senior person in Daimler SEA 2 weeks ago in Singapore and he mentioned that 2016 - 2018 is going to be their year. They've been neglecting the younger users for years but now so many "affordable" models launched from their Stuttgart HQ.

For your sake, please refrain from making direct reference to certain individuals. Malaysia still practice some draconian laws.

I like to go JPO to shop. Things there are quite cheap (relatively) and selection is decent. They should open a SPA there also, that would be perfect, or foot rub place.

A lot of non-graduates start their own successful business, yes, but there are tons that are useless too, I'm in the hiring business. Same goes for Uni grads, there are useless ones too but the chances for success is higher, a degree guarantees you to a certain level, but rest is up to them. But...

Splurging on wedding is seriously waste of money, today i ask my wife of 4 years, did she regret spending so much and putting so many useless things above our long term plans, she said yes. I don't blame her though as we were always shown what was "ideal" in the media and social sites, etc.

Wedding last 2-3 hrs, it's such a waste of money and worst is most probably cannot make back from ang pow if hold in SG. I did mine in JB at a Golf club, 55 tables, net net made RM5k. Including flying some relatives in from overseas, flying some specialist from overseas, etc etc.

Depends on your friend's son's mentality. Defo doable. Quality wise not as good as SG but who cares, its a wedding, last 2-3 hrs. Spend less and save for other things.

Some red flags at Forest City too but location is pretty decent. I'm not vested so just look from far far away.

Not a fan of China developers but I think its not very fair to compare like that, some of this China cities are really really secluded, they would be equivalent to Jerantut or Slim River in Malaysia. Basically my point is some of them are in the middle of nowhere. In Spain also the ghost cities...

Huh? That's like saying, Singaporeans like to visit Paris. Even willing to spend thousands on flights. Some even fly business class. Watever enjoyment they get during the trip is wiped out if they get scammed by the blacks in Montmarte :p

WHAT!!! I was thinking of organizing a trip there with my friends in July. The last time i went there was like 4-5 years ago, super relaxing, nothing to do but enjoy the sea and fish, if thats your thing.

A car will give you range and freedom (american dream), you will be more willing to visit places you never imagine visiting before. i.e. Kelong in tanjung leman, east coast drive to cherating, seafood in pontian, drive to bukit tinggi, frasers hill, lumut etc. To me, JB is fun but Malaysia is...

Hudud is just political ammo, it's a stick that Umno use to poke opposition once in awhile. If hudud is successfully passed, i suspect East, Johor, Penang will try to secede. If not, I will secede.

No matter what, lower/middle class Sgreans still love Johor, even with all the obstacles, they still come. So many of my colleagues always complain jam, safety, bla bla, ask them what they did last weekend? Oh, go JB lepak, shopping in JPO, spent hundreds if not thousands. Then foreigner friends...

Be prepared for one of the dumbest projects by the government http://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2016/06/01/vep-in-effect-for-foreign-cars-entering-johor/ "Anyone driving a vehicle with Singapore plates, including Malaysians, will be charged VEP on the Malaysian side. “We also do not offer...
