    Living in JB 4

2 years ago, someone asked me why i did not want to move to China with them. I responded back then that i prefer things in JB or places where there are lesser crowds. Especially when in China, they take a lot of antibiotic injections with any little flu, i strongly feel they compromised their...

Hi all, not seen that much hoarding of food supplies but with the current situation now, looks like the hoarders are buying up all the wrong stuff. Perishables rather than canned/tinned food.

Yes not for landed, the 600k limit is to me, raising the bar and not lowering it. As it is today, one can still get condos for 500k from the overhang units. So by making it 600k, it is actually making it more difficult, not easier to buy properties here. No matter the price, banks remain the...

How much to change lock on wooden door? No gate

If its the round type one, you can just go to the DIY store and buy one cheaply for about 20-30 RM. You can get it changed out with new keys yourself and just takes about 15 mins to 30 mins. I changed most of the wooden doors myself, even the main doors. Youtube is a good reference. Look for the...

The house will need to be paid for in full, its no use having many properties if they are not all paid in full and amounting to at least 1 million for a single property.

Definitely a no no, much worse than anything you can get in terms of FC and reliability. Really not worth it. Seriously avoid like the plague.

I definitely support Perodua over Proton. Not all models but the MYVI and the ALZA are pretty good and reliable. As we know Daihatsu is owned by Toyota is is pretty good quality although the plastic parts (interior) are pretty flimsy IMHO. Then again the front seats of a Ford Ranger T6 cannot...

Actually now they have 5, 10 and even 20 year visa now. Lots of PRCs are attracted by this.

East Malaysia and West Malaysia have different policies on MM2H. I would apply for East Malaysia one, not that far away from 50 as turning 43 next year.

Its still viable somewhat, lets see if next year June things really changes, else i am just selling my stuff here and keep it to 3 at maximum for properties. Tearing of my kid's passport and barring of my wife's entry was really disappointing. We applied for so many years, paid tax and employed...

Absolutely agree on this one, just get something local such as Perodua or Proton, get a foreman to check and confirm the main parts are sound. Replace the oils and timing belts/water pumps. Replace tyres with something newer (good treads are nice but also always check the year of manufacture)...

The 10 year Don't understand this. If you are referring to MM2H, most of my funds are locked in to properties and the businesses here have always been a drain for my finances. That and always helping those around me has been a constant worry. Since October last year and after getting things...

Get a couple then. Or get a trusted foreman to come with you and then check it. Or prepare 3-4k to fix it. Either way, for around 5k, not too hard to get something usable.

I would consider MM2H for East Malaysia rather than the MM2H for West Malaysia. The one for East Malaysia allows you to stay anywhere and the programme is much more stable and less changes than the one for West Malaysia.
