Oh ya bro contra, on the part about emotions, no, it's not all because of emotions that deterred me to go for HH. Everything was not that right and of course I weighed everything (that I mentioned in the last few posts) ... Its not by chance that I stumbled across ST, and made rushed decision today ... I have been visiting many places before determining the right location for me ... Many might say I'm silly to buy high rise again when I can get landed, but of course the considerations could well be different for all of us :)

Anyway, whether their CEO reads or not, it's up to their management to observe their operations. I don't want to have anything to do with it ... I can only tell them to get their balls together and treat the customers the way they deserve to receive

Of course HH is highly raved about and I like to have a piece of cake there and I can't deny that I was so mad at them on Thursday before going into the office (well, u saw my posts) ... the games that they played and thinking I'm a fool had certainly put me off a bit.

Ermm .. No wife leh, still a bachelor haha ... And I don't see myself buying a HDB ... The gov doesn't protect me, I need to find ways to protect my self and grow new roots out there in IM

Mine at 7A... end lot and the intermediate next to it. most probably flip the units coz in the near future I will not be in JB or Singapore. But my wife and I love the end lot.... at highest ground of NI, the front gate facing the extra 20ft land of two end lots, side has another 20ft common area extra land over my fence and there is no unit build at the back of my end lot....:) was very lucky to get that unit coz the initial buyer has some issue with his loan.

We even went to visit the site to verify from the actual unit...:)

Its very common for the sales/project manager to 'play games' with their devt - controlling Who, Which, What, When, How and even Why units are being sold. One day you go there, they tell u 80% sold,..making u kan cheong..the kan cheong spiders will quickly jump in. next day you go again, they say 20 more units released. When you enquire about a certain unit, they say "sold" when in fact its still avail; making you buy the less than desired unit for fear it will be sold too. Some developers play more intensely while others less. Its happening everywhere not just HH. Even SG included, so no way to avoid. Its a way to drive herd mentality and push up sales and prices.

Anyways, you have bought,..you din confirm the place (sky gdns at ST?) and price/size bro.

Well, in one of HoChinSoon's seminar, he mentioned about this Johor Grand Sentral, it's also noted on one of his free maps. It is the proposed high speed rail link between kl - johor (sg). It looks practical as KTM has vast land bank there as well as the Home Ministry complex there. Those interested maybe can join the MISS (Malaysian Investor on Sg Soil) FB group to IM on the 11Feb. I am sure IM will touch on this...or maybe can seek more info then... :)

Okay, done lots of running about in these 2 days. At last I can take a breather now. Just a quick update:-

Given the ordeal I had at the HH's office, I am never going back there again, and I will never buy a property from them directly, never ever! Not gonna elaborate much either ... Ah tiong, sorry to disappoint ...

On the other hand for the brighter news, I have made a booking at setia tropika instead. The joy and the excitement of my first venture in property is indescribable. At last I have made the first bold step :-)

Setia sales is ok, but their after sales is non-existant.. let me narrate my experience..

1. Phone lines
The entire SEG is fixed with telecom phone lines which are used for Intercom as well. However the option of not subscribing is not available during vacant possession (VP). However as I did the backyard extension, informed Setia to get Telecom to reconnect the line twice.
Since Setia did not get it done, decided to terminate the line, in the end the Setia office says that they are only setting the connection, termination to be done by home owner. Went to Telecom Tun Aminah side to terminate the line.

2. Cracked water cistern. (WC)
Before CNY, found the master toliet WC cracked & informed Setia, they got the contractor to inspect & he commented that mine was the 3 rd case of crack WC. 5 weeks later when I returned, I checked with Setia whether the replacement has arrived & was informed that they had rejected the defect as it is deemed as "wear & tear". WC is merely a water container for flushing, yet they say that since defect did not exist during VP, they will not replace.
Written to their manager to request for a list of exclusions that Setia does not cover for the benefit of all who wish to purchase from Setia bcos of their 36 month warranty period. For those who purchased already, hope yours is not a lemon..

No worries.. lucky got 3 toilet so I have spare toliets for usage. Just some inconvenience & have to source for new WC.. argh..
Back to Setia The Residence Club, the only function so far it serves is for payments.. (at least for me)

Nevertheless, I still like my humble little place in JB...

else may consider Horizon Hills then... esp when its so close to coastal highway now..

strange that coastal highway speedlimit sign indicates 70km/hr while Perling highway is 110 km/hr...

Let me offer you my comments as an observer.

I certainly applaud you for taking a position and putting it into action. So, you have proven to be a man with action not just talk or dreaming away. So, you beat the 80% of the crowd to it.

Now, pls allow me to be a little more critical on your actions. Take it as you like or throw it away if you think it didnt make any sense to you, no skin off my nose.

I can understand your stand with HH and decided not to have anything to do with them. However, I do find your action of making a booking over the two days a bit too hasty. If I were you, these are two very different decisions especially your latter one has to be made with careful considerations. Just to put things in perspective, we are talking about some serious money here and you are taking out a loan/savings to do so. If it is your spare cash, dont worry then. To make matter worst, this is your first venture into foreign land or investment or buying a home!

I am not sure why the pressure to place a booking?? Again, if I were you, ST might present a good option but because I have been disturbed by the circumstances, I am not in the best frame of mind to make any major decision/commitment as yet. So, dont jump into it. Take a few days, weeks or months to reconsider your options. Give yourself some time and take a break from it, relax and pursue it when you are ready.

The best decisions are made when we can think rationally and objectively with minimum emotion involved. Humans are emotional creatures so, it will be almost impossible to separate our emotion. Again, best decisions are made with the least emotion!

I pray that God's wisdom is with you. Happy to assist if you need any advice.

Can you explain what is MISS?? You stated that they are Malaysian Investor on Sg Soil. If they are malaysian, why would they still need to be brought in to Malaysia? Are we talking about Malaysian SPR?
