At a company I once worked for, after the CEO was forced to stepdown by the Board, all his cronies in senior management quit; they knew their time was up because their incompetence would be exposed under the incoming CEO.

It is easy for the PAP to use election fraud as an excuse to call out the SPF and SAF to prevent them from losing power. There is too much at stake. Imagine the loss of those obscene salaries that have bought them GCBs and luxury cars in land scarce SG.
 
Lee is clever and the one who setup the rules in this game, so there is no chance the opposition will win majority.
