This nonsense about the TP and Certis turning a blind eye to illegal parking outside mosques every Friday has to stop. Either that or allow all church, synagogue as well as Buddhist, Taoist and Hindu temple goers the same privileges. Cars parked even along small lanes near the vicinity of churches after the car park is full, are routinely fined every Sunday by the same TP and Certis officers, who are on the scene to only direct traffic around the vehicles causing obstruction every Friday. Why show such blatant favoritism?

I noticed that the carpark was full at this church near my home today. Church-goers left their cars at paid lots up to 2 km away and walked under the blazing sun to attend Good Friday services. Why are they not given the same privileges that Muslims are in S'pore? What happened to the Singapore Pledge about Equality? The pledge emphasises that all citizens are equal regardless of our religious beliefs. No single religion is given preferential treatment in the aspiration for a just and equal society. It seems like mere lip service.

Have lah. Cars park outside church on Sundays(not sure about other days), got leeway for 2-3 hours. So, are cars park outside temples. Only scumbags jhks from outsourcing companies put summons. Got to appeal lor as zhenghu didn't cater for worshippers in building up nation with loads of buildings. If not, the 70s everywhere free parking till this sad state. I quote the official stance from the govt: "Law enforcement agencies, such as the Singapore Police Force, are responsible for enforcing parking regulations. These agencies apply the rules consistently, regardless of the location or the religious institution." Judging from the obstruction caused by vehicles on Fridays, there is no enforcement on the ground.
