A restraint of trade clause is not prima facie void, but the employer has the burden of proof. The Court does not accept "swear that I die a violent death" as a substitute for evidence.

He is a part timer, so it's unlikely that he holds a senior position with access to confidential information or trade secrets.

Waste of time posting such silly question. Simply tell the boss you plan to go holiday and not considering any new job soon even after you have signed a new employment contract elsewhere. It will shut the boss up.

Employers treat staff like digits - not people. They are merely following the example of our govt that sees S'poreans as cogs in the wheel that keep the economy going at full steam so our ministers can collect their million dollar salary packages for as long as possible.
