Agree with a number of your points. They should not contest this along Shanmugam's conceived boundaries, but up the ante as you have pointed out. TCB better start moving quickly.
Apologies for my lack of courtesy but the three so-called EP candidates outside of the scandal-marked TT are no different from the layperson.
All they do is to look at the shit on the fan that is flying all over the room and complain that the air smells of shit and that very likely shit may have hit on a number of people that they have yet to know or do not know. But the sheer expanse, volume and smell of the shit must mean that someone must be suffering.
What a bunch of twits!
Look at the bloody source, the cause of the problem. The root cause! It's evident and evidenced that the free trade agreements (or whatever the PAPzis want to call it) with China, India and Philippines include clauses that allow their nationals to come to work in Singapore with very little hindrance. The trade agreements are far from free because these have economically imprisoned and emaciated thousands of Singaporeans to live a life much less that their full potential as they have to fight against unscrupulous HR agents, paying for jobs by foreign workers, free from CPF contributions and all the while feeding into the frenzy that ever so quickly increases the demand and hence the cost for housing. All these leads to a higher GDP and even more higher bonuses for the PAPzis.
It is all so very clear. I wish I had an hour or two with these people. But they cant be so dumb or can they????
1) Check on the free trade agreements and to put a stop to the free-flow of cheap and largely unnecessary foreign labour as a result of these trade agreements.
2) Question on the abilities of each and every cabinet minister on their experience and ability to be ministers in their respective ministries.
3) Question on the $15k per month for MPs based on the fact that they are not fulltime MPs and how the salary for MPs can be based on whether they are fulltime or parttime MPs (push the shit to Gerald Ee)
4) Question on the moral obligation of the HDB and how they are adamant to charge higher than the cost of building a flat to low and middle income Singaporeans and then use the proceeds towards the Reserves.
5) Question on the moral attributes of the HDB to not fully disclose the cost of building HDB flats
6) QUestion on the reasons why the CPF is being withheld from Singaporeans based on the original age of 55
7) Question why the Reserves have been used so sparingly on Singaporeans all these years
8) Question why new citizens and PRs have not been brought into the country's training for civil defence? 1 out of 2 adults living in Singapore are foreigners. Why are they not inculcated on civil defence procedures.
The list goes on but these are more than sufficient to set the agenda for TT and the PAPzis. These issues should have been brought up to the front in GE2011 but not a single person brought the issue up.
All the talk about is that there is shit on the fan. But why is the question that is often failed by Singaporeans. Dear Singaporeans, the next time someone says no, please ask why? Why is one of the most powerful words in communications. Use it more and especially when you are dealing with the PAPzis.
