He's not the first loser studying in the farmer university and came to Singapore and study in the secondary school here or JC on some form of PRC-SG gov recruitment tie-up and call themselves "scholars". Almost all of them are shameless and ignorant. I wonder if they know how frigging cheap the sec school fees are and how they are not in the least cream of the crop. Most of these losers end up in the loser local and farmer unis NUS or NTU, filling up the courses that no one wants to do such as engineering and science. When you walk through the engineering and science schools of the three Farmer universities, you'll see more Ah tiongs than Sinkies (ratio is about 8-2).

Do bear in mind that the bigger insult is that these Ah Tiongs are here after failing to get into America. This you can know by the tons of stories in the state media about the PRC Study Ma Mas cheated by local education agent of life savings of over $100k to send their kids to study in a US university hahaha.

I know another Ah Tiong girl who also likes to call herself a "scholar". She came to Singapore at 13 to study in St Nicholas, did not make it to a top 5 JC, went to arts and social science dumping ground in a Farmer university (self-funded), and has been drawing S$2,200 working in a Chinese fashion magazine here (called Nu You) for the past 4 years as writer without a single promotion. In their contract with the SG gov, if they study here (sec school and JC fees are gov-funded as they're cheap) they have to work in Singapore in any capacity for three years upon graduation.

Due to their free cheap sec school education, and this regulation which they think is a bond, they began to fashion themselves as "scholars".

These Ah Tiong and Viet losers know about the scholarship system in Singapore, but have no idea how light years away they are from scholars as we know of the term in Singapore.
