新明日报昨日报道，一名中国籍女子李红艳（译音，24岁），昨早8时许被发现赤裸溺毙在圣淘沙海洋通道升涛湾一栋千万元豪宅的泳池中。豪宅的主人是本地一间房地产投资顾问公司的总裁蔡文材，两人据悉前一晚一同过夜。

记者走访死者生前工作过的印度餐馆，老板表示，死者曾在去年11月底，在一家印度餐馆工作，但之后却辞职离开。

“我的员工全都是印度人，我是为了应付餐馆的中国客户，才第一次请中国人来打工的。由于她的英文不好，所以我必须更换她的工作。事后，她曾经回中国一趟，回来时却要求取消工作准证。”

虽然死者在本月4日后，就没有回在餐馆工作，由于餐馆老板觉得她申请来新不容易，所以特别通融，决定在本月底才取消她的工作准证，岂料却发生不幸事件。

餐馆老板表示，事发前1个星期，死者在一天的傍晚6时许，曾和另一名华族女郎到餐馆吃饭。

“当时，她穿着紧身长裤、亮片上衣和短袖外套。另外，她还有化妆，样貌简直是判若两人。我还调侃她说，不在我这里工作后，她变美了许多。”

餐馆老板透露，死者的女性朋友也装扮得相当漂亮，两人看起来就像是芽笼站街的风尘女子，因此猜测她即使没有工作，也继续留在新加坡，或许交上了一些风尘女做朋友，一起捞偏。
警方受询时表示，案件仍然在调查当中。
