Crisis in China: Protests AGAINST Xi Jinping as U.S. HITS BACK 245% Tariffs

A lot hype in the internet….the truth is somewhere out there everybody’s guess

US has everything it needs. It does not need China.
Trump is trying to wean US citizens of cheap PRC stuff.

China too can live without the US. Let us embrace this reality. The world is not multipolar. Two superpowers.
And if Europe have brains, three, EU and Russia combined.

Specialized Goods: Artificial flowers: 96% are sourced from China. Children's coloring books: 93% are sourced from China. Fireworks: 95% are sourced from China.
Technology and Rare Earths: China dominates the refining of critical minerals such as lithium, germanium, and gallium, essential for semiconductors, defense technology, and green energy.
Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals: The U.S. imports approximately $7.84 billion in pharmaceuticals and $8.94 billion in organic chemicals from China.

1)China made Artificial flowers & other products that uses plastics - plastic is a byproduct of oil, which China does not have any.

2)Fireworks & other so called 'rare earth' minerals - they are NOT rare. They exists even in one's backyard. However, to extract such minerals, they would need HEAVY EQUIPMENT, that are BOUGHT from the West & Asia.

3.) Chip making - it is not just silicon or gallium, etc that one can make a chip or chips. There are a whole list of other SPECIALIZED equipment to create such chips that China has to BUY from the West. China can make its own machines, but are not at that evolutionary stage yet. Just one nanoscale mistake & the entire day's worth of chips become useless & needs to be thrown away.

A)Chip making & tech bosses loves China for its cheap labor to gain profits. They cared less for the 9-9-6 sweatshops conditions that the Chinese workers labor under, as production is outsourced to such private or State owned factories. Any responsibility of exploitation of workers lays with the Chinese management & not the big name companies.

B) China can buy oil, minerals & hi tech equipment from the West & World at 0% tariffs. However, when it attempts to sell back those processed & manufactured goods to the USA, it will be hit with a 245% tariffs, making its products expensive & non competitive in USA whereby it has all it needs to produce & manufacture such goods at a far lower price.

In the end, most Chip making tech bosses saw realities, & had moved production back to USA. Only the stubborn hold outs would KPKB, in the hope that their opinions & greed would sway the naive to stop the tariffs so that they can continue to gain profits thru slave labor in collusion with China bosses.

Beijing warned nations against making trade agreements with Washington that hurt China, highlighting how economies around the world risk getting caught up in tensions between the two powerhouses.

While it respects nations resolving their trade disputes with the US, Beijing “resolutely opposes any party reaching a deal at the expense of China’s interests,” the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement Monday.

Singapore’s Long Debt Gets Boost From Steepest Curve Since 2022

Takeaways NEW

The steepest yield curve on Singapore’s bonds in about three years is signaling the time may be propitious for investors to buy long-dated debt at an auction this month.

A flight to safety following gyrations in US Treasuries in response to Donald Trump’s damaging tariffs, and a sharper decline in shorter debt relative to longer maturities will likely burnish the appeal of the local-currency bonds.

The yield premium investors get for holding Singapore’s 30-year securities over its five-year debt is near the highest since March 2022.

Slowly but surely the cheap stuff are usually made in Vietnam or other SE Asian countries, or India or Bangladesh.

I've said time and again: Tiongs of Tiongland have only these career options: farming (ownself grow and ownself eat, because no guarantee other countries will export food to you), PLA military cannon fodder, prostitution.

And perish the thought of high tech delulu fantasies: robots, A.I, crypto, EVs, space projects etc. Save the money and ensure you don't starve.
