I believe for USA, flight from Singapore will fly against the Earth's anti-clockwise direction. In other words, Los Angeles will be nearer than New York.

It depends. Some of the hardcore travellers go to Dubai and Europe, then 顺便 fly across the Atlantic to the USA. For them, US East Coast is nearer.

Old farts probably won't do a lot of hiking e.g. Yellowstone Park. Maybe go to Florida to makan and jalan. It's also not cold there.
