I spoke about how the PAP government has been prosecuting Singaporeans politically for the past 50 years and has prevented Singaporeans from finding out about the social realities in Singapore.
The PAP government has curbed the freedom of speech and conducted human rights transgressions, and in doing so, has caused Singapore to have the highest income inequality among the developed countries and an estimated 30% poverty rate.
Meanwhile, they have then allowed themselves to earn the highest salaries in the world while the majority of Singaporeans still have the lowest purchasing power among the developed countries.
On top of that, the CPF pension funds of Singaporeans are invested in the GIC and the PAP government claims that it does not interfere in the GIC's operations. However, the prime minister, two deputy prime ministers and ministers also sit on the GIC's board of directors so there is a clear conflict of interest.
As such, it is time for change in Singapore, to vote in a new government which will be transparent and which will protect and take care of Singaporeans.
