Recently a bapok DJ made the mistake of taking potshots regarding the shaky service of a nationalised transport cartel corporation, SMRT and was given a poke in the arse. One can understand the frustrations of a few who will be given a Victorian style imprisonment for poking each others arses.
To digress, the hapless nationalised SMRT operates the profitable Circle Line transit line. The Circle Line construction was plagued by numerous gabras(delays, budgetary woes) and Nicoll Highway Incident. It opened amid fanfare and was immediately lambasted as crowded. Apparently SMRT has once again underestimated the traffic volume (not the profits) and the clueless low ranking Minion of State Josephine Teo must to defend her lackeys' silly forecasts.
Smart lass, this Josephine Teo, she collects million dollar stipends but says her lackeys' forecasts are wrong. Interesting SMRT makes clever forecasts to show how fare hikes can starve off supernormal profit falls.
The same company was also given the sweetheart boon to raise fares to bloat its net profits annually. Therefore the transport cartels have no incentives to improve it services and poor peasants pay the price of their fat cat 'yaya-papaya' mentality. The typical Asiatic commuters, ever the suffering goon puts up with overcrowding. They certainly enjoy the odour of the rush hour crowds and the chance to grope women during the ride.
Anyway, Bapok DJ Hos merely commented the Circle Line is down again, poor service from a transportation cartel whose chums, the Public Transport Rubber Stamp gleefully punish with cheap $500 service lapse fines.
