AN UNEMPLOYED woman charged last month with a killer-litter offence at Sengkang was accused of two more offences of abusing police officers.
Thiang Ai Lian, 34, had been remanded at the Institute of Mental Health since Dec 15 for having allegedly committed a rash act by throwing a bottle of chilli sauce from her 16th-floor bedroom window at Compassvale Lane two days earlier. The two fresh charges state that she abused the two police officers in Hokkien at Block 206D on Dec 13. The prosecution asked that she be remanded for further psychiatric assessment as the doctor was unable to give a definite diagnosis of her condition. But her lawyer, Mr Louis Lim, wanted her to be bailed out, but the request was rejected by District Judge Shaiffudin Saruwan. Thiang will be back in court on Jan 19.
