Two women caught with heroin, Ice in underwear
SINGAPORE: Two women who tried to smuggle about 450 grams of heroin and 52 grams of "Ice" into Singapore were arrested on Wednesday.
Officers from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) stopped a Malaysian-registered taxi with four passengers at Woodlands Checkpoint yesterday afternoon and referred them to the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) for checks.
A female CNB officer conducted a search on one of the female Malaysian passengers and found a bundle of heroin hidden in the 28-year-old's underwear.
Another bundle of heroin and smaller bundle of "Ice" were also found hidden in the underwear of another female passenger, a 46-year-old Singaporean.
In total, about 450 grams of heroin and 52 grams of "Ice" were recovered.
The drugs seized have a street value of about S$57,600.
