Two suspects arrested for theft from vehicles

SINGAPORE : Police have arrested two men aged 35 and 42 who are believed to be responsible for a series of theft from vehicles in the Sengkang estate.
The thefts occurred between January 8 and 19 and items such as cashcards, cameras, handphones and cash were reported stolen from vehicles which were parked overnight at multi-storey carparks in the estate.
The police managed to establish the identity of one of the suspects and arrested the 42 year old at Changi South Lane on Thursday afternoon.
His accomplice was arrested at Rivervale Drive about an hour later.
A number of cashcards, ezlink cards, handphones, a camera and an assortment of tools and duplicate keys believed to have been used in the commission of the offences were seized as case exhibits.
The two men will be charged in court on Saturday.
The offence carries a maximum sentence of three years' imprisonment or a fine, or both.
