Two men charged with CBT

SINGAPORE: Two men have been charged with misappropriating nearly S$12 million of their respective employers' money.
One of them, 48-year-old Low Kok Leong, was a warehouse manager with steel company ArcelorMittal when he committed the alleged offence.
It is believed that he misappropriated more than S$11 million between March 2008 and August last year.
Low faces three charges in all and was offered a bail of S$3 million.
He will be back in court next Friday.
Separately, 38-year-old Hee Wan Pin, a former sales executive at Auto France car dealership, allegedly misappropriated more than S$240,000.
Hee, who faces six charges, is believed to have committed the offence between July 2009 and February this year.
He was offered a bail of S$100,000 and the case will be mentioned again on September 2.
If convicted of criminal breach of trust (CBT), the two men could be jailed up to 15 years and fined for each charge.
