Two jailed for sex with minor <!--10 min-->

TWO teenage girls had sex with men who were almost twice their age, a district court heard. One became pregnant and gave birth recently. The two men, aged 26 and 27, were each sentenced to six months' jail on Tuesday for separately having sex with an underage girl. Nurfaidi Ismail, who pleaded guilty, was 25 at the time when he had sex with the 14-year-old girl in October 2007. The girl reported to the police seven months later that she had been raped. In the other case, the 26-year-old deliveryman pleaded guilty to two counts of having sex with the girl in December last year and February. They came to know each other through a mutual friend around the middle of last year when she was 13. She reported to the police in June that she was 23 weeks pregnant. The newborn is being taken care of by her family.
