'He was selfless': Family devastated after 16-year-old Pennsylvania teen dies from leukemia within 24 hours of being diagnosed after suffering from back pain following a basketball game

Kyle Limper appeared to be a fit, healthy and active teenager who would regularly participate in school sports, but when he complained of lingering back pain following a basketball game, his parents took him to the Urgent Care.
'They told me in a couple of days, if he doesn't get better, to bring him back. Well, in a couple of days he couldn't even stand up. He couldn't even get out of bed and I had to help him up and stand him up, then he fell right back down on the bed,' Kyle's dad, Ken Limper said to Fox 29.
When the pain failed to subside he was admitted to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia but there was little doctors could do except make the crushing diagnosis.
By the time the teenager had been admitted, his organs were already slowly shutting down and one day later, Kyle had passed away turning the world of his friends and family upside down.

'Before April 13th he was a completely healthy and happy young man with no sign of illness. It just came and took him on the same day,' Kyle's father Kenneth wrote online.
'The mark Kyle left on all our hearts is incomparable to anything in this world. He did more in his short 16 years and touched more lives with his selflessness, generosity, friendship, and love than most would in a lifetime.'
Kyle was a high school football player for Penn Treaty High School, he wrestled and also ran track. He aspired to become a college football athlete and wrestling champion.

Following high school, Kyle had planned to go on to college to study criminal law and go into the CSI or FBI

This summer he had been accepted onto a program where he would have studied with real CSI agents in Washington D.C.
His parents, brother and sister have now been left reeling from the sudden loss of a son and brother.
'He wanted to stop all the bad evil in this world by putting all the criminals behind bars. So people could live their best lives safely. That was Kyle always thinking about everyone else,' dad, Ken, wrote.
'He loved to embrace the best of what life had to offer him. Now with heavy hearts, we must live our best life for Kyle.'

'I wouldn't wish this feeling or the situation on anyone. It's indescribable,' said Jodi. 'I can't, I can't even put into words how I'm feeling.'
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help the family cover funeral expenses with $10,000 raised so far.
Kyle's family say they want to honor their son's memory by encouraging people to live well and to cherish their loved ones.
'Just live good for him, you know. That's all he wanted was to have everybody have a good life. That's what he was striving to do,' said Ken.
