Caught on video: A mother kicking and slapping her son in public.
A woman was caught violently disciplining her son on the streets of Shanxi Province, China. A passer-by captured the entire incident on video, which then went viral in China and was broadcast on a local news channel. According to an online report, the woman dragged the boy onto the street and kicked him onto the ground.
The boy who looks about four years old lay on the ground crying before his mother dragged him off it. She then kicked the boy four times around the waist. Though the boy looked like he was howling from the pain the woman did not stop and proceeded to slap him another five times across the face. She then dragged the boy to the side of the road and was just about to hit the boy again before a passer-by intervened.
The woman finally stopped hitting the boy and left with him. She tried to hold her son's hand but he refused to hold hers. In an interview, the passer-by - the man dressed in the brown coat - said that the woman was the boy's mother and that she was disciplining him. "Too much, it's really too much. She's an adult. It's not rational," said the man.
