SINGAPORE - A 36-year-old man was arrested for attempting to enter the Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) casino with another person's identification document.

On 16 February 2013, he was detained by the RWS security officers after he was found using another person’s identification document to enter the casino.

Investigations showed he was under an Exclusion Order. He used his friend’s identification document to enter the casino without his knowledge.

The man will be charged in Court on 23 July 2013 for the offences of Entering The Casino On False Pretences, Excluded Person Not To Enter Casino Premises and Failure To Pay Entry Levy under Section 175A, 125(2)(a) and 116(6) of the Casino Control Act, Chapter 33A, respectively.

A person who is convicted for entering the casino on false pretences may face a fine up to $10,000 or be jailed for up to 3 years, or both.

As an excluded person, he faces a fine up to $10,000 or a jail term up to one year, or both.

For failing to pay the entry levy, a person can be fined up to $1,000.
