Azim allegedly committed the robbery at the Blue Dot Minimart located along Tampines Street 71 on Sunday afternoon. He is said to have slashed the left knuckle of a 78-year-old man, Mr Ang Teng Kok, with a penknife.
He is suspected of robbing Mr Ang of about S$243 worth of possessions. They were:
  • A brown wallet
  • Mr Ang’s identity card
  • Mr Ang’s senior citizen’s travel concession card valued at about S$20
  • An automated teller machine card
  • S$23 in cash
  • A Huawei mobile phone valued at around S$200
Court documents did not say what Mr Ang was doing at the minimart or if he was a worker or customer.
On Monday night, the police said in a press release that after they were alerted to the robbery on Sunday, Azim was arrested along with a 50-year-old man, who was not named.

Tampines had a lot of Malay gangsters back in the day. There was only one mall (Tampines Mall), many of the Malay gangsters loitered around in the area. You had to make sure you didn't stare at them or bad things would happen.

But.... why rob mini-mart? Fuck sia... the poorest type of business. Maybe if he robbed a pawn shop or money changer, it makes more sense.
