Lawyer charged with 6 counts of forgery

SINGAPORE: A lawyer was charged on Tuesday with six counts of forgery.
Forty-three-year-old Gopinath B Pillai, who was a lawyer at the time of the alleged offences, is accused of forging High Court documents.
The offences were allegedly committed between September 2012 and April 2013.
The documents were related to a lawsuit involving Mr Eddie Lo Kuen Cheung and Golden Sky International Holdings Limited.
The maximum penalty for anyone convicted of forgery in a capacity as a public servant is 10 years' jail and a fine. - CNA/fa
