Deliveryman jailed 12 months

A DELIVERYMAN was jailed a total of 12 months on Wednesday for molesting a woman, theft and criminal intimidation. Abdul Rashid Sani, 54, had pleaded guilty earlier to outraging the modesty of the 37-year-old housewife and theft of the cameras worth $866 at an IT show at Singapore International Convention & Exhibition at Raffles Boulevard on Sept 10 last year. He had also threatened Mr Mark J. Wales, an operation executive, by telling him to 'watch out' and that he would hurt him once he was released. The court heard that the woman was talking to a staff at the Lenovo booth when she felt a hand slide down from her right shoulder to her right hand and touch her breast. She turned and saw Rashid's hand still resting on her right elbow. She later told her her husband and both confronted Rashid. The security was informed. A search was conducted and the security found two cameras inside Rashid's pouch.
