Brother charged with murder

<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> A STUDENT was charged in court on Friday with the murder of his older brother at their family home in Tampines. Umar Othman, 18, is alleged to have caused the death of Mr Muhammad Othman, 22, at their flat at Block 159 Tampines Street 12 between 3.26pm and 3.58pm on Wednesday. He was remanded for a week at Central police division for investigation. About a dozen people, including his parents and elder sister, turned up in court for the case. Mr Muhammad, who had a mental history, had worked in a special school. The two brothers have a younger brother and a sister, who is married. Umar will appear in court on May 14.
