By Amanda Lee
A 29-YEAR-OLD man was arrested on Tuesday for suspected involvement in at least eight break-ins. The break-ins, which have been reported since September, occurred at several private condominiums and apartments at Bukit Timah Road, Orange Grove Road, Stevens Road and Holland Road. The suspect was arrested at his home at Pasir Ris Street 12, where an assortment of items, believed to be stolen, were found. The items included handbags, laptops, cameras, a mobile phone, a watch and keys amounting to about $8,000. The suspect faces a maximum jail term of 14 years, if convicted. Police remind house occupants to secure all doors and windows at all times and to avoid keeping large sums of cash or valuables at home.
