Armed robbery suspect held

A 26-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly attempted to rob a 77-year-old man at knifepoint was arrested on Monday. Police picked him up along Chai Chee Avenue. The elderly victim was accosted by the suspect in the lift of Block 37 Chai Chee Avenue on Sunday night. The robbery bid was unsuccessful but the victim was hurt. Through CCTV footage the suspect's identity was ascertained. The suspect will be charged in Court on Tuesday.
