</td></tr> </tbody></table> His last minute attempt to compound the offence at the start of his three-day trial was opposed by Deputy Public Prosecutor Adrian Loo on public interest grounds. The DPP said Chow, represented by Mr Alan Moh and Mr Zaminder Singh Gill, had not indicated earlier that he wanted to make the composition offer even though the case had been going on for a year. District Judge Sarjit Singh rejected the application to compound the offence.
The first witness was the 38-year-old pub owner who told the court that the victim, then an operations manager, reported to him that she was molested while she was resting in the third floor office.
A 30-minute CCTV footage of the alleged molestation was shown in court.

A DISTRICT judge has cancelled the warrant of arrest against model agency founder and ex-actor Mark Chow. On Tuesday afternoon, the 29-year-old's lawyer, Mr Alan Moh, produced a memo from Singapore General Hospital stating that Chow had been admitted as a patient. Chow was supposed to be in court for his molestation case at 11am but did not show up. A warrant was then issued. The lawyer had earlier told the court that he received an SMS from his client and Chow's sister that he had been taken to hospital in an ambulance. Chow is being tried on a charge of molesting a pub employee in the central district on Jan 10, 2007. Four other charges involving another alleged victim have been stood down. Judge Singh said Chow must appear in court on Oct 23. He also wanted a medical report from the doctor. He extended Chow's $8,000 bail until then.
