4 loanshark suspects nabbed

FOUR people have been caught for their suspected involvement in loansharking activities in three separate arrests over the last two days. On Tuesday, a 36-year-old woman who is believed to have given her Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card and Personal Identification Number to unlicensed moneylenders, was nabbed in Serangoon Central. <!-- end by line --> In the second arrest on Wednesday, police picked up a 25-year-old man along Upper Serangoon Road.
He is believed to have helped unauthorised moneylenders in opening bank accounts and transferring funds. This was followed by the arrest of a 16-year-old youth. In a separate case on Wednesday, a 46-year-old man was detained. He was found with several ATM cards, banking transaction receipts and a mobile phone believed to contain debtor records. Investigations are still on-going.
