A SECOND man in connection with the embezzlement of funds at West Bay Condominium was charged with forgery on Thursday. Ngee Kok Wing, 47, is alleged to have forged 75 cheques for the purpose of cheating between 2006 and 2007 when he was based at the Pasir Panjang condominium as manager. The total sum involved is about $535,500. One charge accuses him of concealing $100,000 of his benefits from criminal conduct in February 2007 by depositing the money into an account belonging to one Lily Chua, and then causing the sum to be transferred to two other bank accounts with OCBC. Ngee also faces a 77th charge of converting $3,370 of his ill-gotten gains to buy a gold chain and pendant on Sept 23, 2008. On Wednesday, Chew Swee Siong, 31 then an administrative assistant, was charged with 185 counts of forgery involving $1.6 million. Ngee is out on $20,000 bail. A pre-trial conference has been set for March 18.
