2 snatch thieves arrested

TWO men who preyed on an elderly woman have been caught. Aged 45 and 53, they are believed to have snatched a goldchain from the 76-year-old woman in a lift at Yishun Avenue 3 on Aug 30. On Tuesday, police e officers spotted one of suspects at the void deck of a block at Yishun Street 21 at about noon.
He fled on seeing the officers but was later detained. Following his arrest, the officers also arrested another man in the vicinity who is believed to be his accomplice. The victim's gold chain and pendant worth about S$130 has been recovered. The two suspects will be charged in court on Thursday.
