The falsely gained confidence on famiLEE LEEgime is now shaken beyond doubt.<br /><br />When Kota Tingi Malaysia was flooded famiLEE LEEgime said very arrogantly that it will never happen in Singapore. But Ass Loong Son just told Singaporeans 2 weeks ago that it is impossible to expect to be flood-free. About 2 years ago, after LKY visited Las Vegas, he remarked that Singapore needs more casinos...12 to 15. I could not find the reference news report but I remember reading it.

What do you think of the possibility that the whole stretch of the land on the east betwwn Marine Parade and MBS will be used to build a stip of casinos like Las Vegas and Macau. 15 more of the "world-class" type of INTEGRATED RESORT each with its unique attactions besides the casinos....Mixed Martial Arts, soccer, magic shows, rock music, classic music etc.

This would pump up aleast 3% of the GDP growth and could easily replace all those low end manufacturing factories.

Would this be a wrong stategy for Singapore?

Well as for me, Singapore is "too good" so in 1991 I emigrated to a laid back place call Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. We do have casinos and we do NOT call them intergrated resorts. They are simply call "casinos." Most of them are small and NOT world-class standard. However majority of those gambling in the poker room are "Chinese." So Singapore is certainly the market for casinos. God bless Singaporeans as I can forsee many Singaporeans will turn to casino related business for a living.

This will become of Singapore ... a mega gambling hub with high class prostitutes (Singapore-born NUS-educated girls who speak Singlish fetching a premium of perhaps Sin$1,000 per hour)...fast and easy money.

This is what PAP will be leading Singapore into in the next 10 to 15 years!

The vice / casino issue can be taken separately.

I actually have in mind to fry up Anti-Casino issues again, and urge religious & morality groups to hold a joint anti-Casino protest & Speakers Corner, before the coming GE. The idea is not yet completed.
